Steel Grey China Silk / Silk Habotai is a light, delicate silk fabric with a smooth finish and flowing drape. Habotai is most often used in eveningwear, home decor, and sportswear. The word “habotai” derives from the Japanese word, which literally means “feather-two layer”. Habotai is also sometimes referred to as “China Silk”. Our habotai is 100% silk and woven in South Korea. The fabric is lightweight and adaptable and is most often used as a lining fabric – the silk fibers give this fabric great breathability and absorbency which makes it perfect for lining suits, jackets, and other garments.
