Small Trbuchet Type Jeweller’s Scale, 1900s for sale at Pamono

Small Balance Beam for Delicate Weighing, composed in the center of a vertical Brass Knife, topped with a graduated scale.
The latter, associated with the needle located in the middle of the scourge, allows to follow the movements and determine the balance points. This horizontal axis supports two calipers equidistant, themselves with two trays with small handles inlaid with letters, all removable and brass.
The base of this weighing instrument is in walnut. It opens with a drawer with a small draw button with thin moldings, discovering a compartmentalized space garnished with weight. The latter bear the inscription ‘A*B’ and their masses ranges from 5 to 100 grams. This decorative element, in operating condition, is also provided with two cups of a 10 gram tare, which allow us to assert that this pretty precision balance was used to measure gold.
It should be noted that this trebuchet is provided with a device allowing to manually activate the uprising of the central axis, thus separating the platforms from the support plan to place them in suspension.
On the base was preserved a metal plate, stamp of the Parisian manufacturer to which we owe this small scale: ‘house Besson and the weighing instruments together’.
