This tenugui is a unique piece dyed usingchusen, a traditional Japanese hand-dyeing technique.
Designed by Pauline Androlus in collaboration with renowned Tokyo-based dye studio Shin Edozome.
Lightweight, rectangular, and reversible, tenugui are a beloved part of daily life in Japan. Their uses are countless and ever-expanding:
They can be displayed as wall art and used as table runners, hand towels, head wraps, scarves, or kitchen cloths.
Many people also purchase tenugui as fabric for crafting, such as pouches, cushion covers, bento wraps, or eco-conscious gift wrapping.
TheEchappes collection was originally designed to be hung and admired like a piece of textile art.

Care instructions :

Hand wash or machine wash in a net on a delicate cycle. Wash separately. Washing in cold water is recommended. Dry in the shade, do not tumble dry.

Chusen dyeing is specialized art form and requires a highly skilled artisan to perfect. Due to the hand-dyed nature of these fabrics there may be some irregularities, however these are not errors or misprints, rather a natural characteristic of Chusen dyed textiles.
