The armchair designed by jzef chierowski is the most famous and recognizable piece of polish design of the 60s.
It was created exactly in 1962 in the lower silesian furniture factories in wiebodzice and has made a world-wide career.
It is a piece of furniture with a very simple construction.
Definitely modern.
This is how it was perceived over 60 years ago.
Its style definitely differed from other massive armchairs from the early 1960s.
The chair has undergone a thorough renovation.
The wooden frame has been splitted into the first parts in order to eliminate the gaps created at the joints due to the passage of time and to eliminate mobility due to the crumbling of glue.
The next step was to remove old layers of paint and varnish.
Finally, the frame was glued together again and painted with teak satin paint.
The seat was also dismantled from old layers of material, foam and belts.
Reinforcement has been added using medium-hard foam, strips and sheep.
