This Mizu Sashi has a classic shape with a lid and a handle intricately woven from clay. The pottery is coated with a thick, swirling glaze that varies in shades from white and gray to deep purple.
Shiso-te y is a unique Japanese ceramic glaze, inspired by the shiso plant (Perilla frutescens), known for its purple-green leaves. This glaze captures the plants rich tones and subtle natural variations, giving each piece a distinctive character.
This traditional water pot was crafted and stamped by Noma Gazan (), a ceramic artist working within the Agano/Takatori tradition, also known as Natsuyoshi Yaki ().
