Superb pair of French slip plates dating from the end of the 19th century, highlighting relief patterns of fruit in vibrant colors. One of the plates is decorated with an apple, the other with a pear, both surrounded by finely detailed leaves.
One of the plates is signed Onaing on the reverse, a manufacturer renowned for the quality of its slip ceramics. The other plate, although unsigned, matches perfectly in style and workmanship.
