This exquisite set of two Japanese celadon vases dates back to the 1960s and was crafted by the renowned ceramic master Noma Gazan (). The vases are inspired by the classic Longquan celadon style and are characterized by an elegant, bulbous shape with a slender, flared neck.
The glaze has a soft, gray-green hue and is enriched with unique dark spots. These subtle patterns were created by applying iron under the glaze, a technique that produces a decorative and natural effect. The craquelure texture in the glaze adds extra depth and character to the surface.
Dimensions: height: 41 cm and 39 cm, diameter: 20 cm and 18 cm.
Both vases are in perfect condition and are signed at the bottom by the maker. Noma Gazan worked within the Agano/Takatori tradition, also known as Natsuyoshi Yaki (), and was recognized for his refined techniques and keen sense of aesthetics.
A timeless set that brings an elegant and authentic Japanese ambiance to any interior.
