Surprising large artisanal earthenware box/candy box made in Italy, vintage 1960s, featuring a white duck lying on a green base, upper back lid carrying at the top a handle in the shape of a red orange lemon surrounded by 2 green leaves. Cut-out body, lid and base, elegant arabesque-shaped feathers. 26.5cm in length by approximately 18cm in width, 20.5cm in height, candy box without lid 10cm in height. Signed under the base “Bassano” poorly drawn signature but faithful and recognizable style. Very good general condition, no cracks, no shine, some small gaps in varnish on the reliefs, very barely visible, perhaps original. About 1kg.
