Stunning handmade Japanese ikebana vase, Mashiko Studio Pottery, 1960s
Dimensions: height 25 cm, diameter 12 cm
This exquisite handmade Japanese ikebana vase from the 1960s comes from the renowned Mashiko Studio Pottery tradition.
Crafted in natural clay tones, it features a rustic, subtly speckled glaze with decorative brushstrokes in warm earth tones. The almost abstract painting depicts a grapevine motif, giving the vase an organic and lively appearance.
The shape is elegant and slightly tapered, with a gentle curve in the middle and finely incised lines that highlight its artisanal character. The glaze exhibits a beautiful crackle effect, enhancing the depth and texture of the piece.
In perfect condition, this vase is created in the style of Hamada Shoji, though unsigned.
Comes with a matching wooden storage box.
A perfect decorative object and an elegant way to showcase your flowers in style.
